JDRF Walk to Cure – a call for your support.

We are about 10 days away from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation walk for a cure.  The walk will take place on November 9 in Balboa Park.  We are trying to do our part in raising money to fund research.  100% of all monies raise through this walk and by the JDRF goes into research that will hopefully one day find a cure.

Being a parent of a Type 1 Diabetic is stressful and at times defeating (and we are just the parents… not the little girl suffering with the disease… I don’t know how our baby girl does it).  We put our faith in God and our family of supporters to help us get through this nightmare.  Our beautiful daughter has been suffering for more than 10 months now and I know that may not seem long to those that have been suffering for a lifetime with the disease…. but nonetheless, it all just seems unfair.  Our daughter battles everyday to sustain a lifestyle that she was once accustomed too.  as a family we struggle with the new normal…. mostly because it seems to change daily.  There are no know causes for this beast of a disease, and there is no CURE!

This is why we walk.  This is why we fight to get through another day.  This is why we ask for your support, physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially.  Give what you can, if you can!

No amount too little or too great.  The battle has bee long and arduous, but the future is yet to be determined and HOPE is on our side.

We thank all those that have supported up to this point and we implore those that may have been preoccupied to think about making a difference in my daughters life and so many other children and adults that struggle each day with Type 1 Diabetes.  This is a great organization with a mission to FIND A CURE!
