Type 1 Diabetes is a life threatening auto-immune disease that stops the pancreas from producing insulin. Without insulin you will die.

I need multiple daily injections to survive. She checks her blood sugar 6 to 10 times a day.

There is no known cause or CURE for Type 1 Diabetes.
